DRUPA 2024 - the review
DRUPA 2024: A great show for TKM – great experience to be back after 8 years.
After 11 exciting days, Drupa 2024 ended last Friday. 1,634 exhibitors from 52 nations presented their latest trends and innovations to the printing and paper industry to 170,000 visitors.
TKM exhibited various new products and innovations. Highlights and new state of the art trends were the new TKM NEO doctor blade for the packing industry and the TKM eKnife for three-knife trimming. Both innovations were presented for the first time at the Drupa 2024. They have the potential to be a game changer and set new state of the art standards in the packaging- and postpress industry in the future.
The new design of the TKM NEO has a homogeneous tension distribution over the entire length of the lamella, which ensures a constant line pressure and reduces the material stress. Manual re-adjustment during the printing process is no longer necessary.
TKM presented with it’s eKnife innovation a new cutting knife concept with an exchangeable blade for three-knife trimming. The focus of this knife - which was by the way also the major trend of the Drupa 2024 – is sustainability, innovation and advanced technology. With a weight reduction of almost 90% in the grinding service, compared to conventional knives, TKM can take it’s part of making the world of industrial machine knives more efficient and a bit greener. For sure, the quality and service life remain the same and for what TKM is always standing for.
Drupa offered TKM a suitable platform to present these world innovations to a broad audience.
