The steel manufacturer supplies a width tolerance of +/- 0.02mm as standard. As the counter blades are used in sets of 4 to 6 blades and cannot be adjusted individually, there is a risk of increased metallic wear. TKM offers a width tolerance of +/- 0.01mm.
This has two advantages:
- Due to the lower width tolerance within a knife set, the knives can be adjusted to the perforating knife more quickly after installation
- A longer service life is achieved due to less metallic wear
