Blade Thickness
- Due to the tapered geometry of the log saw blade, it becomes thicker as the diameter decreases. As a rule of thumb, the thickness of the 610 mm blade increase by 0,1mm per 10 mm of diameter.
- The increasing thickness is one of the main problems regarding crushing / collapsed cores.
Suggestion:
Using a slimmer blade in comparison to the OEM geometry of e.g. Perini, Futura & Gambini. This makes sure, that the blade thickness increases with decreasing diameter as slow as possible. This gives you an extra about 10mm blade life.
