Curved cut
The cut/sliced block (or prism) displays a consistent bow over the total length, which is parallel but not straight. Such sawn timber products are not suitable for sale.
Possible causes:
One sided set or side-clearance of the tooth
- dismantlement and repair of the tool (new setting, re-tip,re-grind)
Unstable conduction of the stem
- Re-adjustment of the wedge (centring); inspect the track of the wagon for straightness – if necessary, re-adjust
Mill saw not angular in set-up
- re-adjust gang-saws in the frame with the aid of a ruler or angle/elbow
