Cut quality

Radial scratches/grooves and/or breakouts at the clippings could have been caused by the following:

• An uneven lateral projection of the carbide tooth can cause scratches on the surface of the stem. Possible causes: a production fault or an error during edge re-sharpening of the carbide tooth
  Solution: Dismantlement of the tool and repair (re-sharpening)

• a missing tungsten carbide tooth causes a rough surface with breakouts at the bottom of the stem. Breaking of the carbide tooth can be caused by:
  • foreign bodies in the wood
  • soldering defects in the production
  • wrong quality of carbide
  Solution: dismantlement of tools and repair (renewing of carbide-small-plate)

• one or more twisted teeth within the saw blade
  solution: dismantlement of the tool and repair (levelling)
