Possible causes: a production fault or an error during edge sharpening of the carbide tooth
- Dismantlement of the tool and repair (edge sharpening)
A missing carbide-small plate causes a rough surface with breakouts at the bottom of the sawn timber. Breaking of the carbide-small-plate can be caused by:

- soldering defects in production
- wrong quality of carbide
Lacking axial true run of the saw and/or stencil rings
- Check clamping and flatness and appropriate rework of the saw – re-grinding of the stencil rings
