Poor cutting quality (sawn timber cut to size)
The costumer notices breakouts (fringes) during cut-to-size. These breakouts are unacceptable, since the product is cut for sale at this point.
This error could have been caused by the following:
Dull teeth- Re-sharpen the saw
Number of teeth is too low/ too high
- new layout of the saw with the correct number of teeth
Hook angle is wrong
- Re-sharpening with the right hook angle a/o re-tipping or new layout of the saw
Important tip:
A recommendation for an improvement of the cutting quality might also be an unilateral back-clearance-angle.
