Reduced life-time of the circular saw (Profiling)
The customer notices a misalignment in the sawn timber and/or a bad cutting surface and/or an increased current consumption at the shaft’s engine. All these factors lead to an early change of the circular saw blades.
Wrong number of teeth (too high and/or too low)
- Adjusting the feed speed to the number of teeth or new layout of the circular saw
Wrong side clearance angle (radial and/or tangential) - tooth tips stain because of increased friction
- Replacement of the circular saw with properly grinded angles
Wrong hook angle / back clearance angle – tooth tips stain because of increased friction
- Re-sharpening of the circular saw with properly grinded angles
Wrong quality of carbide
- Choosing the appropriate quality of carbide in dependence of the type of wood (especially hardwood) or rather climate (summer-winter)
Too thin body thickness – with decreasing sharpness of the tooth the cutting pressure at the tooth increases and the blade, which is too thin, tends to tilt
- New layout of the circular saw
